Production Art ? Short Course TAFE | Ankaris

Howdy Folks and art students,

I am posting information here for my friend and colleague, Paul Bajada who teaches art and design at TAFE colleges here in NSW (Australia). A new short course is being launched that he and I will be teaching from November 3rd. I will be helping out by teaching the colour/lighting component of the course.

Randwick TAFE is currently enrolling prospective students into an introductory short course on

Production Art: concept design for the entertainment industries.

This short course will be a primer for the full time Production Art course commencing in 2013. The full time program will intensively focus on pre-production for film, television, and computer games, and is designed to compliment Randwick?s screen and media program.

The short course will run on a Saturday for four weeks, commencing on November the 3rd until November the 24th 2012. The times of the short course will be from 10:30am to 4:30pm.

The short course will introduce students to many of the core drawing concepts that will serve as the fundamental basis for the 2013 full time program.
All students who attend the short course will be given priority consideration for enrollment in the full time program.

Please note: Randwick TAFE?s full time Production Art course will be the first of its kind in NSW. You will be developing your drawing skills in every class, and you will not be taught any subject matter that is irrelevant to the discipline of concept art. The focus of your studies will be on perspective, anatomy, lighting, composition, and technique.

Since this short course is subsidized, fees for students on Centrelink benefits will be $103 including a materials fee, and fees for all other students will be under $281 including a materials fee.
Please note: the short course will only go ahead under the condition that the minimum number of student enrollments are met.
